We recently met in London for our summer residential in the thick of the heatwave to reflect on our new not-quite-flat structure (more on this soon) with Kat Hobbs who supported our first steps towards unflattening last spring. We also undertook some work planning for the next six months which you can find out about below.
Eight Years on from Framing the Economy
Anu, our Head of Operations, penned a reflection on our Framing the Economy toolkit—on what we’ve learnt since, and where economic narratives sit today—after attending the ‘Shifting Cultural Perceptions of Our Economy’ conference, hosted by Friends Provident Foundation.

- Free Narrative Change 1-2-1 Clinics:
We’re offering new light-touch one-to-one support for grassroots organisers and narrative change practitioners. The space is for you — to share your situation, troubleshoot any difficulties you’re having, sound-board creative ideas that need some air-time, and find connection if you’re feeling a bit stuck. We could go over a tool, theory or practice you’d like to experiment with. We could chat through a narrative or comms project that you’re working on at the moment. Or we could talk through other avenues of support that might be available out there.

- Introductory Workshops: Narrative, Framing & Testing
We’ve also just launched a free mini-series of online workshops in August and September, covering the basics of narrative change, framing practice, and communications testing. Book your free spot or share with your co-conspirators.
These online workshops are a starting point for folks who are newer to narrative change work, giving you space to learn about narrative strategy as a core part of social change work, and exploring tools to help you integrate it into your practice.
